Frequently Asked Questions
What Resources Do You Have for At-Risk Students?
Ridgecrest offers a range of support for at-risk students, including the MTSS framework (comprised of four essential components: screening, progress monitoring, multi-level prevention system, and data-based decision making), Child Find, English Language Learner (ELL) programs, Gifted Education, and a robust Guidance Program.
Understanding Our Student Support Programs
- MTSS: Multi-tiered Systems of Support is a framework used by schools to identify and provide immediate intervention for students with academic and behavioral needs. For more information, call us at (334) 298-3004.
- Child Find: This program identifies and supports children with disabilities, from birth to age 21. Through collaboration with Early Intervention and Special Education Services, we connect eligible families to vital resources.
- ELL Program: Our English Language Learner program helps students who are new to English develop strong language skills, enabling them to thrive in their academic subjects.
- Gifted Education: Ridgecrest’s gifted program recognizes and supports students with high intellectual capacity, academic proficiency, or exceptional talent in leadership or expression. Contact Phenix City Schools at (334) 298-0534 for more information.
