SMARTLab

Ridgecrest Elementary’s SMARTLab provides a 21st-century learning environment where students of all interests and abilities can dive into hands-on, project-based STEM activities. Every class attends the SMARTLab for 30 minutes, five days in a row, immersing students in an engaging curriculum designed to strengthen skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Here, students develop critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities by working directly with advanced software and materials.

The SMARTLab experience at Ridgecrest is student-centered, empowering students to take charge of their learning and discover their creativity. With activities ranging from engineering challenges to coding and design, students learn to manage projects, work as a team, and communicate effectively—all essential skills for success in the modern world.

Alongside STEM-focused activities, our SMARTLab introduces students to areas like computer science, art, and music, fostering a well-rounded approach to learning. Each session is crafted to encourage curiosity and ignite a passion for discovery, making learning in the SMARTLab truly unique and exciting.
